CONSTRUCTION WITH OPEN SOLE

Large vertical sole openings allow excess heat and moisture to escape. And if you step in a puddle? You’re still protected. The GORE-TEX laminate surrounds your foot. So while sweat vapor molecules can escape, water can’t get in. You’ll find this construction in stylish shoes for everyday use, like exploring cities or walking your dog.

CONSTRUCTION WITH SIDE SOLE OPENINGS

Perfect for hiking, trekking and footwear for everyday use, this construction features the openings are positioned at the side of the sole. Moisture and warmth are conducted through both the shoe upper and down through the GORE-TEX laminate into a ventilation grid. From there they escape through large, side sole openings.

CONSTRUCTION WITH SIDE VENTILATION OUTLE

Our patented construction with side ventilation is for shoes made for hikes, long walks and other more demanding activities. It allows moisture and warmth to escape from below the foot through the GORE-TEX laminate, into the open structure of a spacer and then out of the shoe through the side ventilation outlets.

Some GORE-TEX Footwear features a unique construction that combines stretch laminates, lining textiles, and connection seams.
