Shoes engineered with GORE-TEX® extended comfort product technology are designed for warm weather and combined outdoor/indoor activities.

They are durably waterproof combined with high breathability, offering enduring weather protection. Water stays on the outside while perspiration can easily escape from the inside. Thanks to their non-insulated construction, they are the ideal solution for wearers who value outstanding climate comfort and heat loss.

The core element in this footwear is the thin 3-layer GORE-TEX® extended comfort laminate that performs without insulation. It is made up of a highly abrasion resistant, quick re-drying textile lining material, the microporous GORE-TEX® membrane made of ePTFE and a protective knit. Extended comfort laminates are therefore highly breathable and recognised for their outstanding heat loss characteristics. The wearers’ feet will be protected from water, problematic liquids and sand, while sweat gathering inside the footwear can escape even faster.

Tactical GORE-TEX® extended comfort footwear

A new class of climate comfort for daily duty footwear for Police

Daily duty police officers require footwear for different levels of activity indoors and outdoors. Policing tasks especially in urban areas call for boots that promote agility and offer effective climate comfort without compromising on durable waterproofness. Tactical GORE-TEX® footwear with GORE-TEX® extended comfort technology successfully meets these requirements. The footwear is designed around the thin 3-Layer GORE-TEX® extended comfort laminate that comes without insulation. Being highly breathable the laminate is known for outstanding heat loss. It forms a reliable barrier against water penetrating from the outside.

Gore's manufacturing partners combine GORE-TEX® extended comfort technology with select upper and lining materials to produce daily duty footwear that meets the needs of a modern police force: exceptionally lightweight, athletic, durably waterproof and extremely breathable. Desert GORE-TEX® extended comfort footwear

Desert GORE-TEX® extended comfort footwear

Protected and comfortable feet for soldiers on missions in hot environments.

Heat, sand and dust are among the many challenges soldiers must confront on missions in the desert. To carry out their work efficiently and concentrate on their tasks, they need outstanding footwear. GORE-TEX® extended comfort desert boots were designed specifically for military personnel working in hot environments and under major physical strain. They release excess heat and vapour from sweat, creating an agreeable climate for the feet. At the same time, they prevent water, sewage and other undesirable liquids from entering.

Wet feet, either from external liquids or from perspiration, are susceptible to bacteria, bruising, blisters and injuries. GORE-TEX® extended comfort laminates are durably waterproof and extremely breathable at the same time. They are built around a microporous GORE-TEX® membrane made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) on the inside, which lets vapour out, but does not let liquids in. Desert GORE-TEX® extended comfort footwear avoids unnecessary foam layers or other air gaps that can hinder heat conduction.
