Even as a kid, I really hated the rain. That's when you would find me on the balcony, singing the children's song, "Dear, dear sun." That cost me a lot of time in itself until the sun actually heard me. Rain always simply stole a big part of my good cheer. I don't know exactly when -- I may have been 14, 15 or 16 -- that I started in with alpinism. I always admired Stefan Glowacz, who always had the "GORE-TEX" in large letters printed on his right sleeve. That's when I made it my big goal. I didn't have to climb like Stefan, but someday I also want to have "GORE-TEX” printed on my apparel! And so it is today. What did I learn from that? "Never give up believing in your dreams. There is always a path; you just have to take it!"
Yours, Tamara Lunger
